PLANTATION, Fla. — One size doesn’t fit all when it comes to adjustable bed bases, according to GhostBed, which has introduced a new offering in the category that has legs that can be modified to stand 7, 11 or 15 inches tall.
The retailer and manufacturer of boxed beds says the customizable-height base has added benefits for consumers who like a lower profile sleep system.
“The bedding industry has been gravitating toward customization for many years, and when we sourced this height option, we knew it would be positively received by consumers,” said Marc Werner, president and CEO of GhostBed. “Of course, we wanted to make sure we could incorporate the adjustable height feature into a full-featured product that also had the best quality and durability.”
With numerous ergonomic positions, the revamped base features independent head and foot adjustability for maximum customization, as well as 15 whisper-quiet, two-zone massage modes. It also includes one-touch buttons for zero gravity, anti-snore, watching TV and more; underbed LED lighting; four USB ports; and a flashlight built right into the wireless remote.
The new base also features a new patented design, which allows it to fit into a box half the size of traditional adjustables, making it easier to handle and deliver and minimizing space on a truck or in a warehouse.
With a steel constructed frame and contemporary charcoal gray fabric cover, it retails for $1,699 in queen.
