McRoskey San Francisco expands merchandising mix to include Shifman Mattresses.

SAN FRANCISCO – As part of its remerchandising strategy, sleep retailer McRoskey San Francisco is adding luxury mattress producer Shifman Mattresses to its collection of bedding.

The new partnership brings together two family-owned companies with long legacies in the luxury sleep space.

McRoskey San Francisco’s flagship store will begin selling Shifman’s American Heritage collection among its high-end mattress offering later this fall. The collection blends contemporary styling and luxury with a Belgium damask cover delivering a high-end look and feel while maintaining its accessible luxury price point. The line features a range of comfort levels and features Shifman’s Sanotuft technique and eight-way hand-tied box springs.

Prior to 2019, the retailer sold only the McRoskey brand of mattresses along with pillows, high-end linens and blankets.

The retailer is in the midst of relocating and expanding. Vanessa Contreras, owner and CEO of McRoskey, is currently working on moving the flagship store from Market Street to a location that makes it more accessible to luxury consumers. Once the move is completed, the 123-year-old luxury retail brand will add two locations in the Greater San Francisco Bay area in the next 18 months.

“The Shifman and McRoskey brands are beautifully aligned and bringing American Heritage to our floor allows us to diversify our merchandising mix while staying true to our legacy of luxury craftsmanship to improve lives through quality sleep,” Contreras said.

The handcrafted American Heritage collection offers a 10-bed collection with Shifman’s signature two-sided construction, natural cotton comfort layers and individually wrapped coil system. Its premium and luxury models elevate sleep comfort and quality with additional fine, natural materials such as cashmere, natural latex and New Zealand wool. All models are compatible with adjustable bases.
