Glamping is the latest trend in luxury camping that combines the essence of the word glamour with camping. Campers that love getting back to nature, but have no desire to succumb to the discomforts of traditional camping that amounts to roughing it in the elements, may opt for camping accommodations that provide the comforts of home. Some glamping campgrounds offer accommodations similar to what one would expect in a luxury hotel. Grande Hot Springs is an RV resort that specializes in yurts and cabins. The Superhosts of the resort are highly rated with experience in hosting to make guest stays memorable. Guests receive information and self-check-in upon arrival through the lockbox through an Airbnb app completion. The yurt is surrounded by mountains and offers exceptional views of the star-studded sky at night. A cedar soaking tub with hot spring mineral water that comes directly from the springs is provided. The beds are full with a firm mattress, a twin bunk bed, and a full-size futon. The yurt is equipped with a coffee maker, mini-fridge, coffee, and tea. In winter, the yurt is geothermally heated and air conditioning is provided in summer. The yurt also comes with a propane fire pit, bbq, patio furniture, picnic table, and umbrella. The treehouse accommodates up to four guests in its three beds. It comes with a half bath. The tree house is in a 16 x16 ft space, suspended between three fir trees. Guests access the room via a spiral staircase. The room has a queen bed and two twin beds in the loft. A gas heater, microwave, coffee pot, and microwave are included, along with a composting toilet and a cold-water sink. The minimum age is seven years due to the staircase access. Cottages are available on the 20-acre property at the base of Mt. Hood. There is also an outdoor shower with hot water. It also has a picnic table, covered area, and gas grill. A seating area is below the treehouse with a firepit. A minimum two-night stay is required to book the treehouse. The inside of the house measures 247 square feet with modern comfort on a studio platform. The Tiny House accommodates four people with two beds. It has a bathroom, a dining room, and a kitchenette. Guests will enjoy the full fridge with a freezer, a two-burner induction stove, a microwave oven, a convertible sofa, and a queen loft. The Northwoods Tiny Farmhouse Sanctuary is hosted by premier host Lauren. It’s in the heart of the forest with horseback and hiking trails.
Field Mag suggests Tide’s Reach of the Umpqua in Douglas County. It’s a premier glamping site that offers guests a fully weatherproof geodesic dome set up at the riverside. Tide’s Reach is in the Oregon Coastal Mountains, near the edge of inland tidal waters. It’s 20 miles from Reedsport, Oregon. The dome is a 16 ft space with one double bed, one couch, and two toddler beds. The geodome has a kitchen, an indoor wood-burning fireplace, a bathroom with Finch’s all-natural small-batch bar soaps, body soap, and shampoo, and an outdoor shower with running hot water, towels, bedsheets, toilet paper, bedding linens, pillows, and blankets. You’ll also find a pack-n-play travel crib, portable fans, and security cameras on the property. The parking is free. Parking areas have security monitoring. The dome has a smoke and carbon monoxide alarm, a first-aid kit, and a fire extinguisher.
