Kingsdown's new, expanded showroom in Las Vegas will feature more than 25 new products including additions to the Vintage collection.

MEBANE, N.C. – Going into next week’s Las Vegas Market, mattress manufacturer Kingsdown has several new product initiatives underway to fill its relocated 17,000-square-foot showroom located in the World Market Center at C-1401.

The showroom doubles the company’s previous showroom and will feature more than 25 new mattresses in four collections.

Kingsdown will feature products from its Vintage, Insignia, Anniversary and Zedbed collections all showcased under the company’s new “Style and Substance” theme.

The hand-tufted Vintage collection and Insignia collection, a hybrid line with eight mattresses, will both be show with new fabric designs; Zedbed, the company’s high-end foam line, is getting a fabric refresh and a new graphite model; and, Anniversary, Kingsdown’s entry level luxury collection, will have more than a dozen models on display.

In designing the new showroom, Kingsdown put an emphasis on elevating the sleep experience, as well as highlighting design, craftsmanship and luxury. The showroom also features a marketing communications area to help retailers promote the brands.

“We have elevated the look and feel of many of our collections and our new showroom is reflective of premium, luxury branding,” said Frank Hood, president and chief executive officer. “Affluent consumers are redefining what luxury means to them today. They want products of real style and substance now, and the kind of restorative sleep experience that Kingsdown delivers night after night. We look forward to sharing that story with dealers and designers in this exceptional space.”

The new Zedbed lineup will hold a prominent place in Kingsdown’s new showroom.

Zedbed, the company’s high-end, infused foam line, will also have new copper models featuring the company’s perforated Copper VX Foam for increased air flow. Designed with engineered foam cores, Zedbed products are adjustable base friendly. The mattresses and pillows are made with eco-friendly, soy-based foams that are infused with botanicals like lavender, citrus, coconut charcoal and eucalyptus.

“Zedbeds look different, and they feel different thanks to specially formulated infused foams that provide a spa-like sleep experience,” Hood said.

Zedbed and Kingsdown joined forces in 2018 when Owen & Co. merged with Kingsdown.

Kingsdown’s Vintage collection combines high coil counts and patented motion separation construction with latex and ultra-soft, breathable natural materials like pure cotton, ethically sourced New Zealand Joma wool, Alpaca wool from Peru and horsehair imported from the United Kingdom. Retails range from $3,499 to $12,999 in queen.

“Our Vintage Collection offers the kind of old-world construction rarely encountered today and is emblematic of our rich history of handcrafted perfection performed by generations of master artisans who take exceptional pride in a time-intensive manufacturing process,” Hood said. “Vintage epitomizes the kind of design, craftsmanship and exceptional materials that affluent consumers equate with luxury products of true style and substance.”

Insignia’s eight mattresses feature new fabrics with Secure Stitch scroll quilting, with the stitching up to two inches into the first comfort layer to help resist body impressions. Phase change materials are included in the surface layer cooling foams to absorb excess heat. Infused specialty foams positioned near the mattress core help with cooling by pulling heat away from the sleeper. Wrapped coils with a posturized center third contour to the body and provide personalized support for sleep. Retails range from $1,399 to $2,699 in queen.

Kingsdown is expanding the Anniversary collection with four mattresses priced to retail from $699 to $1,399 in queen. Features include specialty foams infused with copper, gel and graphite, wrapped coils, tri-zoned support, and a comfort quilt with cooling gel fibers on the surface of the mattress.
